Small list, short notice, and the date can move
Baby showers are planned in a narrower window than most events, usually by a friend or a sister rather than the parents, and the date is occasionally moved at short notice for reasons nobody controls.
So the practical advice is different here: keep the print run small and the design simple enough to reprint. A shower list is typically twenty to forty households, which is a cheap run — and a cheap run is a much easier thing to redo than an expensive one.
Put the registry details on the card
It is the single most useful thing you can include, and the thing most often left off. Guests will otherwise text the host individually to ask, which is a job the host does not need. Registry, address, and whether it is a surprise — those three save a dozen messages.
Thank you cards while the list is fresh
Order them with the invitations. Tracking who gave what is hard enough in the week after a shower without also choosing a card design. Thank you cards fold, which gives room for a proper handwritten note.

4.25" x 5.5" holds the details comfortably without feeling formal. 5" x 7" if there is a photo or a scan you want to feature.
Can we do a small run?
Yes, and for a shower it usually makes sense. Tell us the number and we will price it properly rather than pushing you to a bracket you do not need.
Should the parents see it first?
If it is a surprise, obviously not. Say so when you order and we will keep proofs to the address you give us.
Can you match a theme or colour?
Send us a reference and we will get as close as print allows. Screen colours and printed colours are never identical, and we will show you a proof before it runs.
