The deadline is not Christmas
If you are sending cards to clients, the date that matters is the first week of December. A card that lands in the week before the holiday is opened alongside forty others and remembered as one of them. A card that arrives at the end of November sits on the desk on its own for a fortnight.
Which means the useful ordering window is October and November. The businesses around the Tollway who do this well order in October, while they are still thinking about the year end rather than fighting it. By the second week of December the calculation changes entirely — at that point you are competing for attention with everyone who left it late.
Corporate or family, the list is the job
Business lists are the harder ones, because they drift. Contacts move, companies merge, someone leaves and the card goes to a person who is not there any more. It is worth twenty minutes with the list before you order rather than posting eighty cards and having nine come back.
Count addresses, not names. A card goes to a household or an office, not to each person in it.

Questions we get asked
When should I order?
October or November if you want to post at the end of November. If it is already December, order now and take the same-day option — late is better than not at all, and considerably better than January.
Photo card or designed card?
Family cards are usually photo, which suits 4" x 6" and a gloss or satin paper. Business cards are usually designed, which suits 5" x 7" and something heavier. Both work; they are different jobs.
Should we sign them by hand?
For client cards, yes, and it is the main reason to choose matte paper — a pen works on it. A printed signature reads as a mailshot, which rather defeats the purpose.
Do you supply envelopes?
Not with this product. Our invitations have an envelope option, and we can talk about envelopes separately for a card order.
How many should I order?
Count addresses and add about ten percent. Every year someone is forgotten off the list and every year a few get spoiled.
