The shape text actually wants
A line of text is a rectangle. That is the whole reason this shape exists as a sticker: names, part numbers, addresses, instructions and serial numbers all read naturally across a landscape format, and cramming them into a circle or a square means shrinking the type.
If your sticker is mostly words rather than mostly logo, this is the shape to take.
Where these end up
Asset tags and equipment labels in offices and plant rooms. Safety and instruction labels. Shelf, bin and file labels in storerooms. Address labels on packaging. Warranty and service stickers, where a technician writes a date on afterwards.
If somebody writes on it
Tell us. Vinyl with a gloss finish resists pen, which is exactly wrong for a service or inspection label that gets dated by hand. We will steer you to a finish that takes ink.

Questions we get asked
Can each one be numbered differently?
Sequential numbering is a common request for asset tags. Tell us the range and we will quote it — it is not something the online calculator handles.
How small can the text go?
On a 2" x 1" label, smaller than you think, but there is a limit. Send the artwork and we will tell you honestly whether it will read.
Will they survive a workshop?
Vinyl handles far more than paper. For heavy outdoor exposure, bumper sticker material is the more robust choice.
