Light, clean and inexpensive
Polystyrene is a thin solid plastic sheet. It is light, it takes print cleanly, and it costs less than the rigid boards. For signage that needs to look sharp but does not need to last years, it is the sensible choice and we will happily tell you so rather than sell you something heavier.
Retail and promotional signage, seasonal displays, temporary wayfinding, shelf and aisle signs, short-run interior notices. Anything you fully expect to replace when the message changes.
Where it stops, and what to use instead
It is thinner than Ultraboard, so large panels will flex and want support at the edges or a frame. Outdoors it is a three to six month material rather than a permanent one. For anything staying outside, go to J-Bond or aluminum.

Polystyrene or Ultraboard?
Polystyrene for small, short-term and cost-sensitive. Ultraboard for large panels that must stay flat and for anything reused.
Will a big panel bow?
It can. Support the edges, use a frame, or step up to Ultraboard. Tell us the size and we will be straight with you.
Can it go outside?
For a few months. Not for a permanent installation.
Can you cut it to a shape?
Yes, contour cutting is available.
