Canvas is a finish, not just a material
A canvas print has texture and no glare. That is the whole difference from a paper poster, and it changes where the piece can live.
Paper under glass reflects every window and downlight in the room, which is why gallery walls in bright offices so often look washed out. Canvas has a matte woven surface that absorbs light instead of bouncing it, so it reads properly on a wall facing a window — which in North Texas is most walls for most of the day.
It also needs no frame and no glass. That is less to buy, less to hang, and nothing to break.
Any size, so measure the wall first
You enter the width and height rather than picking from a list. A 16" x 20" canvas is $39.33 and the price scales with area from there.
Because the size is yours to choose, it is worth measuring properly. A piece that is slightly too small for the wall reads as an afterthought; one that fits the space looks deliberate. Cut a rectangle of newspaper to size and tape it up for a day before ordering — it takes five minutes and it is the only way to know.
For a group of canvases, plan the gaps as carefully as the sizes. Two to three inches between pieces usually reads as one arrangement rather than several separate things.
What makes a good canvas file
Send the original. Not the version you posted online, not the one from a messaging app — those have been compressed and the compression shows badly once enlarged. The file straight off the camera or phone is what you want.
Bigger than you think. Canvas is forgiving of softness because the texture breaks up fine detail, but it cannot invent resolution. Send us the largest file you have and we will tell you the biggest size it holds up at.
Watch the edges. Depending on how the piece is finished, a small amount around the outside can wrap or be trimmed. Keep faces, text and anything essential away from the very edge of the image.

Questions we get asked
No. That is part of the appeal — canvas hangs as it is, with no frame and no glass to buy or break.
Out of direct sunlight, it holds up well indoors. A canvas hung where afternoon sun falls on it directly will fade faster, as any print would. If that is the only wall available, it is worth knowing going in.
A dry cloth or a soft brush. No water, no cleaning products — canvas is a fabric surface and liquid does not come back out.
A single image split across several canvases is possible and it needs planning — the splits have to fall somewhere sensible in the picture. Send the file and tell us the wall size and we will lay it out before printing.
