Cut to your shape, not to a rectangle
A die cut sticker is trimmed to follow your artwork instead of sitting inside a circle or a square. A logo becomes a logo-shaped sticker. A mascot becomes a mascot. There is no background shape giving away that it came off a sheet, which is why die cut stickers look like merchandise and standard shapes look like labels.
Why it costs more, plainly
Die cutting runs at roughly double a standard shape at the same size. The reason is straightforward: a square is a straight cut our machine makes all day, while a die cut follows your specific outline and has to be set up for your artwork. You are paying for the cutting path, not for better material — the vinyl is the same.
So here is the honest advice. If your design sits comfortably inside a circle or a square, take the standard shape and put the difference into quantity. If the shape is the design — a logo with a distinctive silhouette, a character, a badge outline — die cut is the only thing that does it justice and it is worth every cent.
What we check before cutting
Very thin points and tight internal corners do not survive cutting or peeling. A star with needle-sharp points will lose them; a shape with a narrow neck will tear when someone lifts it off the backing. Send us the artwork and we will tell you where the outline needs easing, before it becomes a box of stickers that fall apart.

Questions we get asked
What does the size mean on a die cut?
It is the bounding box — the largest dimension your shape fits inside. A 3" die cut sticker is one that fits within 3 inches, whatever the outline.
What file should I send?
Vector if you have it, because the cut path follows the outline precisely. If you only have a photo or a flat image, send it anyway and we will tell you what is possible.
Can you cut a hole in the middle?
Sometimes, depending on the shape and size. Ask us with the artwork in front of you.
Is there a white border?
There can be, and it often helps a complex outline survive. We will show you on the proof.
