Three quite different jobs
Class valentines. Children's cards for a classroom exchange, where the requirement is one per child in the class and a short lead time because the teacher only sent the list home last week.
Customer cards. Restaurants, salons and retailers thanking regulars or promoting a booking. February is a quiet month for a lot of businesses and a well-timed card fills a table.
Event invitations. Valentine dinners, church couples' events, fundraisers and galas that use the date as a hook.
Order in late January
The window is short and absolute. Cards want to be out by the first week of February for anything needing an RSVP, and by the 10th for anything simply being handed over. After the 14th they are worthless, which is not true of most cards we print.
If you are a business using the date
Put an offer with an expiry on it. A card that says "thinking of you" is pleasant; a card that says "book by the 20th" produces bookings. February needs the traffic more than most months do.

Questions we get asked
How many for a classroom?
Ask for the class list rather than guessing, and add a few. Teachers, aides and the child who joined last week all get missed.
Smallest size?
3.5" x 5" for class valentines — small, cheap in volume, and the right scale for a child to hand over.
Will reds print accurately?
Strong reds are one of the harder colours to match from screen to paper. We proof before printing and will flag it if your red will shift.
Can children write on them?
Choose matte — it is the uncoated option and takes pen. Gloss resists ink, which is a problem when thirty names need writing.
