A wedding is not one card
Most couples arrive thinking about the invitation and leave having printed four things: the invitation, an RSVP card, a details card with directions, parking and accommodation, and the ceremony program.
They are worth planning together. Printed in one go they match, they cost less than four separate runs, and you only proof once. Printed as you remember them, they drift — slightly different whites, slightly different type, and the set stops looking like a set.
RSVP mechanics decide your timeline
Work backwards from when the caterer needs numbers. That date sets the RSVP deadline, which sets when invitations post, which sets when they have to be printed and addressed. Couples usually plan forwards from today and run out of room at the end.
Give us the caterer's date when you get in touch and we will work the printing back from it with you.
Households again, not guests
The same counting rule as save the dates. One invitation per address. Order about ten percent over for keepsakes, mistakes in addressing, and the guests who get added late — because guests always get added late.

Questions we get asked
Which paper for a wedding invitation?
Something with weight. 120 lb or 130 lb thick stock feels like an occasion in the hand, and that matters on the one card people keep. Matte if anyone is handwriting names.
Can you print the guest names on each one?
Tell us and we will quote it. Variable printing is not something the online calculator handles, but it is straightforward for us.
Do you supply envelopes?
Not with this product. Our invitations product has an envelope option, and is the better route if envelopes matter to you.
What about thank you cards?
Order them with everything else while the design is fresh and the address list is accurate. Thank you cards fold, which suits a handwritten note.
How late can we change something?
Until it goes on press. Once you approve the proof it runs, so read it properly — particularly names, dates and the year.
