Mostly events, not greetings
Halloween printing around North Dallas is event printing. Schools and PTAs running fall festivals, churches running trunk-or-treat, neighbourhoods organising block parties, and families throwing parties for children who have opinions about the theme.
Very few people send Halloween greeting cards. Almost everyone needs to tell a crowd where to be and when.
Send them home in the first week of October
If the cards are going home in a school folder, they need to go early in October. Families fill the last two weekends of the month quickly, and an invitation that arrives on the 25th is competing with plans already made.
Which means artwork in late September. It always feels early and it never is.
The details that get asked anyway
Costume expectations, whether food is provided, whether parents stay, and the end time. For trunk-or-treat, say whether cars are decorating and who to contact to take part — that recruitment is usually the hard part.

Questions we get asked
Best size for a school folder?
4.25" x 5.5" or 3.5" x 5". Both fit in a folder without bending and both survive the journey home in a backpack.
Do dark designs print well?
Yes, and they look better on gloss or satin, which holds density. Very dark designs on uncoated matte can look flatter than they do on screen — we will show you a proof.
How many for a school?
One per family rather than one per child, or siblings get two. Ask the office for family numbers rather than enrolment.
Need signage as well?
Yard signs work well for directing people at a fall festival or trunk-or-treat.
