Why matte, and when not to
Matte is uncoated. That one fact decides most orders. A pen works on it, so when someone writes a mobile number, a quote or an appointment time on the back, the ink stays put instead of beading up and smearing. Gloss will not do that, and neither will a soft touch laminate.
It also photographs and scans cleanly, and it does not throw glare under office lighting. What you give up is a little punch in photographs. If your card is mostly a headshot or a saturated logo, gloss will serve you better and we will say so.

School admissions staff who note a tour time on the back. Practice managers writing the next appointment. Contractors adding a job reference on site. How we work
Same day before 10 AM
Order before 10 AM and same-day production is one of the choices at checkout. Collect at the Galleria shop the same afternoon. Worth knowing before you drive to a big-box counter and wait.
A proof every time
Nothing runs until you have seen it. We check bleed and safe margins, because a clipped logo on 1,000 cards is a reprint nobody planned for.
Rounded corners
An option on this product. It softens the look and stops corners fraying in a wallet. Adds nothing to the turnaround.

Questions we get asked
Which paper should I pick?
100 lb Premium is the standard and suits most orders. 120 lb Thick is noticeably stiffer. Worth it if the card is working a conference or living in a wallet for months.
Will matte look dull?
Understated rather than flat. Photographs are slightly softer than on gloss, which is the one reason we steer photo-heavy cards elsewhere.
Can I really write on them?
Yes. That is the main reason people choose matte over gloss or soft touch. Ballpoint, gel and marker all take.
How few can I order?
25. Handy for a new hire or a title change rather than reprinting a box of 1,000.
Do I need print-ready artwork?
It helps but is not required. Send what you have, design online, or hand it to our designers. If a file needs work we will tell you before we print, not after.
