Pricing scales with area, so a 24" x 36" sheet is twice an 18" x 24" and a 36" x 48" is four times. Useful to know when you are deciding what to issue at what size.
Black and white, or colour
Most plan sets print single sided black and white, and that is the right answer for structural, civil and the bulk of architectural sheets. Line work reads cleanly, it is the cheapest way to print a set, and it is what reviewers expect.
Colour earns its cost in two situations. The first is discipline coding — when mechanical, electrical and plumbing are overlaid on the same sheet, colour is what stops a contractor misreading a run. The second is anything going in front of a client or a board: renderings, landscape plans, presentation sheets and phasing diagrams all fall apart in greyscale.
You can mix within a set. If four sheets out of forty need colour, tell us which ones rather than paying colour rates across the whole job.

Questions we get asked
24" x 36" is the default for most plan sets and the size the majority of our work comes in at. Go to 36" x 48" when the drawing is a site plan or a large floor plate that becomes unreadable at D size. Use 18" x 24" for detail sheets, single drawings and small residential jobs where the larger sheet is overkill.
A PDF is best, with each sheet as one page at full scale. If your sheets come out of AutoCAD or Revit, plot to PDF at the drawing size rather than scaling to letter. We print what you send at the size you choose, so a sheet plotted to the wrong scale prints at the wrong scale.
Yes, but it is worth a conversation first. A bound set reads better when every sheet is the same size. If your set genuinely mixes sizes, tell us before you order and we will work out the cleanest way to handle it.
Usually more than they first think. A permit submission, a set for the office, one for each trade on site, and one for the owner adds up quickly. Printing all of them in one run costs less per set and means every copy matches, which matters when a revision lands.
Yes. Pickup at our North Dallas shop is free, and for anyone driving between a site and a meeting it is usually faster than any delivery option. We will tell you when the set is ready rather than making you guess.
