What twin-loop wire gives you
Wire-O uses a row of double metal loops through punched holes along the edge. It lies perfectly flat, and the pages turn a full circle the same way a coil does. The difference you notice is in how it presents: because the loops are evenly spaced metal rather than a continuous plastic spiral, the finished book sits square and neat, and a stack of them looks deliberate.
It is the binding people reach for when the document is going in front of someone who is deciding something. A proposal, a board report, a pitch document, a capability statement, a specification. It reads as considered in a way plastic coil does not quite manage, and in a room where the details are being judged that is worth the difference.

The trade-off, honestly
Metal loops crush. A Wire-O book in a site bag or a toolbox will eventually come back bent, and once a loop is out of shape the pages catch on it every time you turn them. There is no fixing that.
So the rule we give people is simple. If the book is going to be handled hard, take the spiral instead. Same paper, same sizes, same covers, tougher binding. If the book is going to be read in a meeting and then filed, Wire-O is the better object.

Is Wire-O more expensive than spiral?
They sit in the same bracket. Choose on use rather than price. Hard wear takes spiral, client-facing takes Wire-O.
Will the wire bend?
It can, if the book is knocked about. That is the one real weakness and the reason we point people at spiral for field use.
Which paper for a proposal?
Something with weight to it. A heavier text stock inside with a card cover reads as substantial without being awkward to turn.
Can I have a printed cover rather than plastic?
Yes. Print your cover on card and choose no plastic cover, or add a clear front over it for protection.
How quickly can I get them?
